The Art of the Title – That’s Saul, Folks!

Psycho. Vertigo. North by Northwest. Goodfellas. Casino. You’ve seen his work, but do you know his name? 

Hosted by Lola Landekic, designer, writer and editor in chief of Art of the Title, this film series will dive into the work of legendary graphic designer Saul Bass.  

Often called a master of title design, Bass (frequently working with his wife and creative partner, Elaine) created powerful imagery for some of Hollywood’s greatest filmmakers including Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Otto Preminger and Billy Wilder.  

With expert and lively introductions, the screenings will explore and celebrate Bass’s 40-year career and the vibrant, innovative and deeply influential title sequences he created. 

This series is sure to be a hit among artists, designers, film aficionados and those interested in the creative arts.
